List of Collaboration Opportunities
Voluntary Teach Of College Student Project
Every year, the Lighthouse Project starts a volunteer recruitment campaign in March at major universities in Guangzhou. After screening through interviews and training, about 120 college students are sent to 6-8 volunteer teaching sites in the summer for a month-long volunteer teaching activity.
During the month-long volunteer teaching process, Lighthouse has its own set of proven vernacular and community-based lesson series, as well as supporting curriculum. Its curriculum format includes scenario-based simulations, group discussions, and student practices designed to encourage students to actively participate in the teaching and learning process. In addition to the curriculum, activities are also an important part of the Lighthouse curriculum. Volunteers will organize related activities in conjunction with the main lines of the curriculum to create a stage for students to showcase themselves and get on their own stage to express themselves, one of the few opportunities for students to get to know themselves better and develop self-confidence.

The project held a 5-day "China Rural-Urban Youth Public Welfare Linkage" field research activity in the summer, in which urban children and Yao children from Damai Mountain, Liannan, Guangdong, formed a team to carry out 5-day grouping tasks, such as collecting folk songs from Damai Mountain, researching Yao embroidery and costumes, designing tourism routes in Damai Mountain, and finding folk craft masters. During the activities, the children from both regions communicated with each other, supported each other, and gained friendship and growth.
